Kadi Supari

Kadi supari, the traditional paan crunch.

Kadi supari is thin-cut supari (areca nut), one of the oldest companions of paan. In our Meetha Paan it adds a light, pleasant crunch between the soft gulkand and the finely chopped betel leaves.

A paan tradition

Supari has been served with paan for generations, from royal paandaans to wedding paan counters. Cut into thin pieces, it is the part of a traditional paan that gives each bite its gentle crunch and texture.

Texture in every bite

Our Meetha Paan is soft and moist, led by gulkand and finely chopped betel leaves. Thin-cut supari brings contrast: small pieces that add crunch alongside the fennel and watermelon seeds, so each mouthful has more than one texture.

Part of the sweet balance

Kadi supari is not there to dominate. It sits among the sweeter ingredients — gulkand, dates and dhaga mishri — adding body and the familiar paan-counter character many people remember from paan after a good meal.

A little ingredient knowledge

Supari is the everyday Indian name for areca nut, the seed of the areca palm. It has long been part of paan served across India.
